Vidunena Education Paper

Vidunena Education Paper for Year 5 Scholarship Examination is a Sinhala language education paper target for Grade 4 & 5 students in Sri Lanka. It is published by the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (Lake House), a government-owned corporation. The newspaper commenced publishing in 2011 under the guidance of Lake House Chairman Bandula Padmakumara.

The Year 5 Scholarship examination is a very competitive examination in Sri Lanka. Nearly 300,000 students sit for the Examination annually. This examination is considered as the   Parent’s exam. This paper has recommended by former Examination Commisioner Anura Edirisinghe.
The paper is written as a tabloid, with photographs printed both in color and black and white. Weekly printings include the model papers and lessons for Grade 4 and 5 students. The current editor-in-chief of the paper is Hemali Wijerathne and the Circulation section is headed by Sunil Sendanayake. The paper is distibuted to the schools network islandwide under supervision of  Dinesh De Alwis.

Sithmina

Sithmina Education Paper is a Sinhala language paper target for Ordinary Level (O/L) students in Sri Lanka. This is the only Education paper which publishes weekly according to the O/L Syllabus. It is published by the Lake House, a government-owned corporation.

The newspaper commenced publishing in 2012 under the guidance of Lake House Chairman Bandula Padmakumara. The readership is around 200,000 and the circulation is 60,000. Circulation section is managed by Sunil Sendanayake.
The paper is written as a tabloid, with photographs printed both in color and black and white. Weekly printings include the model papers and lessons for Grade 10 and 11 students. The current editor-in-chief of the paper is Manoli Subasinghe. School Distribution system is handled by Dinesh De Alwis.

Athuru Mithuru Pre-School Education Paper - Lake House


Athuru Mithuru is a preschool education paper in Sri Lanka which prints in Sinhala language monthly. Athuru Mithuru is the most popular preschool education paper in Sri Lanka which runs according to the pre-school curriculum.
It is published by the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (Lake House), a government-owned company.
The Education paper commenced publishing on 1st May 2012. The Athuru Mithuru is written as a tabloid size, with colorful drawings. It include preschool activities,drawings,poems,stories and competitions.

The current editor-in-chief of the paper is Anoma Gangoda while Gunapala Jayalath is the sub editor. The circulation is close to 100,000 and sales are doing by Dinesh De Alwis. Athuru Mithuru is distributed to every corner of the island by Lake House Circulation Department headed by Sunil Sendanayake.

Dinamina Newspaper (දිනමිණ) Sri Lanka -Lake House


Dinamina (දිනමිණ) is a Sinhala language daily newspaper in Sri Lanka. It is published by the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (Lake House), a government-owned corporation. The newspaper commenced publishing in 1909. It was founded by the Sinhalese scholar H. S. Perera who acted as both owner and editor-in-chief of the paper at the outset. Upon Perera's death in December 1914, D. R. Wijewardena bought out the company. It is now owned by the government of Sri Lanka.

The newspaper is written as a broadsheet, with photographs printed both in color and black and white. Weekday printings include the main section, containing news on national affairs, international affairs, business, political analysis, sports, editorials and opinions. Separate sections contain classifieds, and supplements depending on the city it is distributed in, local (metropolitan) news. The current editor-in-chief of the daily is Gamini Jayalath.

Information about Lake House(ANCL)- Sri Lanka

Lake House is Sri Lanka's oldest publication company and it is the only state run newspaper company. Lake House also known as Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL) is the largest newspaper company in South East Asia. It publishes three daily and three weekends in all three major languages. Also it publishes five weekly, five education publications, two monthly and three annual publications in Sinhala, English and Tamil.
The company is situated at the heart of the Colombo in front of the Berei Lake. Dinamina, Daily News and Thinakaran are the dailies while Silumina,Sunday Observer and Thinakaran Waramanjari are the weekends.

There are about 2000 employers in the Lake House and the current Chairman and the Managing Director is Bandula Padmakumara.
Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited is a Public Limited Liability Company incorporated in Sri Lanka in 1926. 75% of its shares were Nationalized under the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (Special Provisions) Law No. 28 of 1973 and this stake is held by The Public Trustee of Sri Lanka on behalf of the Government.
